"Our son was diagnosed with dyslexia just before his 7th birthday. He was barely reading at the level of an early 1st grader and he was in 2nd grade. We are grateful for his school's support but it was never going to be sufficient enough.
First we started with a different tutor who quit after 3 sessions because she was unable to work with a student with dyslexia and ADHD. When we started working with Jackie, there was an immediate and consistent improvement. His reading skills, pronounciation of words, and spelling have had vast improvements. Jackie was also immediately attuned to his neurodivergent brain and she asked to meet shortly after we started, so that she could learn more about him and to optimize and personalize the environment/tools. This was a tremendous turning point that we had never had with another educator.
Our son is learning a ton, he's making measurable improvements, his confidence is soaring, and he really enjoys working with Jackie. She goes out of her way to create lesson plans that are not only tailored to the way his mind works, but she is also thoughtful to include his favorite characters to make it fun and familiar. Jackie is also incredibly professional and very easy to work with.I highly recommend Jackie, 5 stars, 100%. I can't imagine what we would be doing without her expertise. She's been a total game changer for him and our whole family. So grateful for Jackie!”
